The Ross Bakery Inn
 The Ross Bakery Inn, convict built in 1832 for John Dickinson, a free settler from Nottinghamshire in England. It is a classic Georgian house built of local sandstone and with a permanent listing on the Tasmanian Heritage Register.  Originally named Sherwood Castle Inn, it served many years as a coaching inn.  Accommodation is upstairs with three delightful bedrooms each with ensuite toilet and shower.  A cosy guest lounge is located downstairs where complimentary tea, coffee and fresh bakery cakes are served.  A light bakery breakfast is served including croissants, hot bread and pastries straight from the oven of the Ross Village Bakery.

Kirsty's Cottage, A beautiful 3 bedroom cottage (c1880) right in the heart of Ross.  Ideal for a first or second honeymooners, family groups or if you just want that bit extra space and privacy.  There are queen size beds in the two main bedrooms and two singles in the third.  The lounge has a cosy log fire, TV with VCR. Family sized kitchen with complimentary tea, coffee and bakery goodies.  Again the light bakery breakfast is included in your tariff.

Over the years has been exteded to the cottage it is today.  There are 3 bedrooms - 1 x Queen, 1 x Double, 1 x Single with two daybeds in the lounge, comfortably sleeping seven.   Large country style kitchen with an electric stove, fridge, freezer and microwave.  There is a split system reverse cycle air conditioning unit for heating and cooling.  The cottage has 1 bathroom, laundry with a washing machine, digital TV and a DVD player.

ImageStep into this beautiful sandstone heritage listed cottage, a home built in the 1850s.  Stay a while. You have the cottage to yourself and you can explore the island of Tasmania, basing yourself in this old world which has its own pace. 
A Wee Stoatir has been uniquely restored with much of the original wooden floors retained. 
A large fireplace warms a cosy living room. Three double bedrooms, lounge, bathroom, and an elegant dining room adjoins the modern kitchen and laundry to ensure a blend of convenience.
A minimum stay of two nights, however stay a week and get the seventh night free.  Breakfast of cereals, yoghurt,  breads, jams, milk, juices, tea/coffee are provided for an additional charge.


The Scots say 'Stoatir' to describe something which is fabulous or stunning.  'A Wee Stoatir' means a little beauty in the Australian vernacular.  
The cottage is non smoking and best appreciated by adults.
