Ross Bed & Breakfast - An attractive bed and breakfast set in the heart of the beautiful village of Ross.  The B&B has three ensuite rooms with a total capacity of eight people.  There are BBQ facilities, a communal fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, all beds have electric blankets, televisions and heaters.

This brand new self contained cabin is stylish, modern and comfortable.  One bedroom, queen size bed with alpaca pillows for a luxurious nights sleep. BBQ facilities with outdoor setting.  Light breakfast provisions are provided, including fresh eggs courtesy of the resident chickens. The delightful old charm of the Dohertys Man O Ross Hotel situated in the central hub of Ross.  Built in 1835, careful refurbishment has provided modern conveniences but preserves the traditional elegance.  Accommodation is upstairs and has shared bathroom facilities.

Kirsty's Cottage, A beautiful 3 bedroom cottage (c1880) right in the heart of Ross.  Ideal for a first or second honeymooners, family groups or if you just want that bit extra space and privacy.  There are queen size beds in the two main bedrooms and two singles in the third.  The lounge has a cosy log fire, TV with VCR. Family sized kitchen with complimentary tea, coffee and bakery goodies.  Again the light bakery breakfast is included in your tariff.

Rural peace on the bank of the serene Macquarie River is the Ross Caravan Park.  Stay in a simple cabin or bring your own Caravan, Motorhome or Tent.  There are 16 Serviced Sites, 16 Camp Sites, 5 Simple Cabins.  The park also has a laundry, BBQ, Amenities Block and Linen Hire is available.  The simple cabins have crockery and cutlery, cooking facilities, fridge, microwave, TV, heating and shared bathroom facilities.  Pets are allowed - but must be kept on a leash at all times. 

Opened in 2005, the new Ross Motel is situated right on the Macquarie River.  This unique motel concept features seperate, ground floor, tastefully furnished, self-contained units.  The Ross Motel offers all the amenities that you would expect from a 4 star property.  There are 8 Double rooms with queen size beds and 3 two bedroom family units. 

Stone Cottage, built in 1840 as a 3 room cottage. Over the years has been exteded to the cottage it is today.  There are 3 bedrooms - 1 x Queen, 1 x Double, 1 x Single with two daybeds in the lounge, comfortably sleeping seven.   Large country style kitchen with an electric stove, fridge, freezer and microwave.  There is a split system reverse cycle air conditioning unit for heating and cooling.  The cottage has 1 bathroom, laundry with a washing machine, digital TV and a DVD player.

Somercotes - experience colonial life on one of the original Tasmanian Estates.  Still occupied by the descendants of the original settlers.  Stay in one of the cottages built for the original workers, find out their fascinating stories before and after they came to Van Diemens Land.  The cottages are faithfully restored and furnished to retain their original historic ambience with cosy log fires, but are comfortably converted with all modern amenities.  There are four cottages sleeping a total of 12 guests.

Step into this beautiful sandstone heritage listed cottage, a home built in the 1850s.  Stay a while. You have the cottage to yourself and you can explore the island of Tasmania, basing yourself in this old world which has its own pace. 
A Wee Stoatir has been uniquely restored with much of the original wooden floors retained. 
A large fireplace warms a cosy living room. Three double bedrooms, lounge, bathroom, and an elegant dining room adjoins the modern kitchen and laundry to ensure a blend of convenience.
A minimum stay of two nights, however stay a week and get the seventh night free.  Breakfast of cereals, yoghurt,  breads, jams, milk, juices, tea/coffee are provided for an additional charge.


The Scots say 'Stoatir' to describe something which is fabulous or stunning.  'A Wee Stoatir' means a little beauty in the Australian vernacular.
