Ross Quarry Historic Site Opening – 25 Oct 2019

Join us for the official opening of the Ross Quarry Historic Site

The beautiful original buildings in Ross were built from sandstone quarried locally. One of those quarries remains and is now a significant attraction in the village.

The local community has spent many hours cleaning up the quarry, revealing an amazing space.

Visitors to the site will find interpretation about the tools and methods used at the quarry. Learning about the first part of the process from which our buildings came to be which will help people to make connections with the historic buildings throughout the village.

The quarry is also a stunning natural amphitheater, and ideal for future concerts and performances.

When: Friday 25 October 2019 at 2pm.

Where: Corner of Wellington and Waterloo Streets, Ross.
